The seas of the desert

Synopsis

This documentary takes a look inside the Sahrawi music scene in the refugee camps of Tindouf (Algeria). It's a transnational and local experience that reaffirms the values intertwined with the political fight for Western Sahara's independence, as well as the use of a precolonial music style known as Haul, which is mainly played in Mauritania and Western Sahara.
